Mickael Goudemand signs contract extension

Catalans Dragons is delighted to announce that Mickael Goudemand has signed a contract extension.

The French international second row has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Trained in Avignon, he joined the club in 2018. He quickly earned his place in the squad and made his first Super League appearance. During his first season, he helped the Dragons secure victory in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

After a successful first season, Mickaël Goudemand established himself as a key member of the Catalan squad and played a role in some of the club’s most successful years in Super League, reaching the Super League Grand Finals at Old Trafford in both 2021 and 2023.

He scored 11 tries and 99 appearances in the Catalan jersey and then moved to Leeds in 2024.

After a season with the Rhinos and a return to France with Albi in Super XIII for the 2024-2025 season where he won the French Elite Championship, Mickael Goudemand then tried a new experience in Australia, joining the Newcastle Knights reserve team in the New South Wales Cup.

Back in Perpignan during the season, he made one appearance for the Dragons in 2026, at Castleford, where he celebrated his 100th appearance for the club.
