Josh Allen signs new contract

Catalans Dragons are delighted to announce the contract extension of Josh Allen.

The 25-year-old Australian prop, who was under contract until the end of next season, has signed a one-year extension. He is now contracted to the club until the end of 2028.

The powerful 1.95m, 112kg prop began his career with the Canberra Raiders’ reserve team in 2022 before joining the North Queensland Cowboys in 2024 and then the Dolphins last season, where he continued his development in the NRL reserve competition.

After initially starting out in boxing, he switched to rugby league and was quickly spotted by the Raiders at the age of 17. The young Australian prop moved to the south of France last season to add further strength and depth to the Catalans pack.

Following a convincing season, Josh Allen was one of the most-used players in the Dragons squad in 2026, making 25 appearances in Super League.
