John Cartwright signs contract extension

The club is pleased to announce that headcoach John Cartwright has extended his contract until the end of the 2028 season.

The 61-year-old Australien coach, who arrived in Perpignan last May from Hull FC, has signed a new two-year deal with the Dragons.

A Penrith Panthers legend as a player, he brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience across the NRL and Super League.

John Cartwright said : “It’s a privilege to do the job I love at this level. Being in the south of France at a club with such a strong identity and a rich history is a fantastic opportunity for me. I was really excited from my very first meeting with Bernard. His commitment to the club and his long-term vision convinced me straight away. It’s a though job with a lot of pressure but I’m really looking forward to taking on the challenge. This club has great potential. For the game of Rugby League in general, it’s essential that we have a very strong Catalans Dragons team. »
