Arthur Romano returns to the club

The club is delighted to announce the return of Arthur Romano, who has today signed a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old French international centre is now under contract with the Dragons until the end of the 2028 season.

Born in Carpentras, he joined the club in 2015 where the U19 team was created, before gradually progressing through the tanks to establish himself in the first team.

Named Rookie of the Year in 2019 after enjoying his most successful season since making his professional debut, he was then sidelined by a knee injury the following season.

Back to full fitness in 2021, he went on to enjoy four impressive seasons in the Catalans’ jersey, scoring 22 tries in 95 appearances for the Dragons and playing a part in both 2021 and 2023 seasons where the club reached the Super League Grand Finals in Old Trafford.

Last season, he moved to Hull FC. His experience abroad was disrupted by an ankle injury, although his still made 12 Super League appearances.

A French international, he represented his country at the 2022 World Cup in England. He’s been recently included in Laurent Frayssinous’ preliminary squad ahead of the next World Cup in Australia.
